Hey Kevin do you think that it is possible to change the Port for Beat the Wave the from 8000 to something else ? Maybe this will help with the nak error (100). I have spoken to Shoutcast and they recommend for now to change the port so that the error there for is off and the stations will be set on the shoutcast page once more. Most are not using 8000 anymore because of this error.

Hello,

Sure we can modify the ports however we cannot modify it to port 100. In order to do that we would have to set your account to run as root and that will make the server vulnerable from exploits and hackers.

Is their any specific reason why you need this port change? Are they still not showing you in shoutcast dir?

Regards,
Kevin

That is exactly why Kevin because we are not on the YP of Shoutcast. What I mean about the port change would be like 8500 or 4520 or something like that. I know that Shoutcast is having problems with the Port 8000 YP that was my reason for asking such a goofy question but to me any question unasked is a silly question winks. You know what I mean. I am just glad the B2NetSolutions is always on the ball with things laughs. Because the last one wasn't. I was just simply wondering if it was possible.
